The College Republicans at RWU is one of 7 College Republican Chapters operating on campuses throughout the state of Rhode Island. We are the strongest College Republican Chapter of the College Republican Federation of Rhode Island and received the CRFRI's first Chapter of the Month award in September 2007. After the re-establishment of the club in 2006, the club has more than doubled in members and frequently hosts conservative speakers and events on the Roger Williams Campus. In the Fall of 2006, the club campaigned hard for both local, state, and national republican elections. We also recently campaigned and helped elect Rep. Steve Coaty in Newport. We're gearing up for a long battle of campaigns in 2008. The club consists of 4 elected Executive Board Members, as well as several appointed positions, and a larger student membership. The club meets every Tuesday night at 9:00 PM in the RWU Library Board room.
